Ironforge History
Ironforge is the Dwarven capital, dug deep into the mountains of Khaz Modan. The Frostmane Trolls once ruled over the frigid lands of Dun Morogh, only to have their empire fall to Dwarven armies. These tribal creatures were driven to the hills in retreat -- a shameful blow to their warring nature.

Meanwhile the Dwarves built their empire and the recently uncovered fragments of their ancient origins which led them to dig deeper than they ever had before. As a result of the Dwarves' insatiable digging at the Gol'Bolar Quarry, they unleashed a menacing tribe of Rockjaw Troggs from their subterranean den. While the massing Trogg invasion looms over the lands of King Magni Bronzebeard, the Frostmane Trolls have taken advantage of the distraction to attempt to reclaim their ancestral home.

As this conflict continues to grow, Ironforge stands at the center of the upcoming battle. It is a nearly impenetrable fortress that provides the Dwarves with a limitless supply of ore and stone for their ambitious engineering endeavors and weapon production in preparation for what will surely be a long and violent war.

The Dwarves of Ironforge are not without hope though. Driven from their own home city while the Alliance was busy fighting the Burning Legion, the inventive Gnomes have come to share Ironforge as a home. Together the two races have worked together to defend the lands of Dun Morogh from Trolls and Troggs alike.
