- Nettles & Trudge
Nettles and Trudge are the resident odd-couple here at Stoneforged. An engineering mastermind, Nettles so impressed (read: annoyed) the dwarves of Ironforge after arriving with a host of his kin, that they gave him his own workshop, deep within the underground city. In fact, he was so isolated the only fellow living even remotely close, was a grumpy dwarf by the name of Trudge.
Trudge was a drunkard, even by dwarven standards and after one too many destructive brawls in a local tavern, was relegated to his current abode. Trudge gained a liking to the little gnome, when he happened upon what he thought was some "bathtub gin" brewing in the back of Nettle's workshop. Though it turned out to be a new prototype of fuel to power steam tanks, Trudge (and many other dwarves afterwards) didn't seem to notice.
So the two have developed a working relationship where Trudge works the iron (and the taps) while Nettles is busy dreaming up some new invention….the waffle maker 5000 turned out to be a great way to kill Rockjaw Troggs, but unfortunately, its waffles needed some perfecting :)
