Beast Soothing:
Beyond the ability to tame, a hunter may attempt to calm hostile
beasts so that he and his group can pass without fear of attack.
Beast Taming:
Ability to tame creatures up to 90% of the Hunter's level. The animal
must be classified as "Beast" to become a pet. The Hunter
can then name the pet, which grows in level and ability as the Hunter
does. The hunter may only have one pet at a time, but can dismiss
the pet at any time to tame a new one.
Beast Tracking:
Beasts and the direction they are moving will show up on the map
earlier than normal.
Dizzy Shot:
Low damage ranged stun shot.
Dual Wield:
Ability to wield weapons in both hands.
Head Shot:
The Hunter can strike an opponent in the head, causing massive damage
from long range.
Mend Pet:
Ability to heal the Hunter's pet.
Recall Pet:
Summons your pet.

| Strengths |
| With
the ability to have a pet and pick off enemies at a distance, the
Hunter is a soloing machine and an excellent
puller for areas with room to roam.
"Beast Soothing" has the potential to be a unique form
of crowd control to give Hunters some extra usefulness in
groups.
What's not to like about choosing your pet (like a tiger,
polar bear, etc) and then naming him? |
| Weaknesses |
As in past games, the Hunter will
probably not be highly sought after in groups. There
just isnt much use for a ranged fighter such as this in small
dungeon areas with tight areas of combat.
Hunters are poor fighters at close range and
will really have to rely on the damage potential of their pet
if they get ambushed before they can fire off a ranged attack.
